Imperial White Granite

Description

Imperial White is technically a Precambrian gneiss— a geological distinction that separates it from true igneous granites and accounts for its characteristic pink feldspar patches, which are a product of metamorphic mineral recrystallisation rather than igneous cooling. Its surface presents as predominantly white at first reading, but the interplay of scattered black flecks and warm pink zones across the field gives it a depth and tonal complexity that pure white granites simply do not carry. High resistance to heat, UV exposure, and surface abrasion, combined with its ability to hold sharp definition across polished, honed, flamed, and leathered finishes, makes it one of the more technically versatile white stones in the South Indian export range.
