Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for marble and granite export?
Our standard MOQ is 1 container (20ft FCL = approximately 20–22 MT for slabs). For quartzite and premium varieties, MOQ may start from 10 MT. For rough blocks, we offer direct quarry MOQs from 50 MT. LCL shipments (less than container load) are available for first-time buyers or sample orders above 500 kg.
What are your shipping ports and average transit times?
We primarily ship from Mundra Port (Gujarat) and JNPT (Nhava Sheva, Mumbai). Transit times: Europe (18–22 days), USA East Coast (24–28 days), Middle East (10–14 days), Australia (20–25 days). We work with Maersk, MSC, CMA-CGM, and other major lines.
Can I get physical samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We send stone samples (typically 30×30cm or 10×10cm tiles) via DHL or FedEx to all serious buyers. Sample shipping cost is borne by the buyer for first-time inquiries. For repeat importers, we cover sample courier costs. Processing: 5–7 business days from approval.
What documents do you provide for customs clearance?
We provide: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (OBL or Express BL), Certificate of Origin (COO), Material Test Certificate, HS Code Declaration, Phytosanitary Certificate (if required), and any country-specific import documents upon request.
What stone finishes are available for export?
We offer Polished, Honed (matte), Flamed, Brushed, Sandblasted, Bush-Hammered, Leather, Antique, and Natural/Riven finishes depending on the stone type. Polished and honed are standard. Specialty finishes may require 10–14 additional days in production.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms: 30% advance TT + 70% against BL copy. For established buyers: 30% advance + 70% LC at sight. We accept T/T (bank transfer), LC (Letter of Credit), and Escrow via verified trade platforms. We do not accept PayPal or credit cards for bulk orders.
What Incoterms do you work with — EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR?
We quote in EXW (Ex-Works, our factory), FOB (Free on Board, loaded at Mundra/JNPT port), CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight to your destination port), and CFR on request. Most international buyers prefer FOB for cost transparency or CIF for simplicity if they don’t have an established freight forwarder. We provide a breakdown of all three on every formal quotation so you can compare based on your logistics setup.
Do you supply cut-to-size stone or only standard slabs?
Both. Standard gangsaw slabs (260×160cm approx.), calibrated tiles (60×60, 60×30, 30×30cm common), and fully custom cut-to-size orders are available. Custom sizing requires a confirmed CAD drawing or measurement sheet and carries a 2–3 week lead time.
What is the price range for Indian marble per square meter?
Export FOB pricing varies widely by variety: standard marble (Udaipur Pink, Ambaji White) from USD 12–25/m², mid-range (Kishangarh Beige, Morwad White) USD 25–55/m², premium (Makrana White Nishad, Albeta) USD 60–150/m². Contact us for a current price sheet.
Can you supply granite monuments and headstones for the memorial industry?
Yes. We specialize in export of cemetery monuments, headstones, kerb sets, and memorial tablets in Absolute Black (Black Galaxy), Imperial Red, Blue Pearl, and other popular monument granites. We supply laser-engraving-ready flat-polished faces and can accommodate custom shapes per your drawing.
What happens if the stone received doesn't match the approved sample, or arrives damaged?
We stand behind every shipment. If material is found to deviate significantly from the approved sample in color, finish, or specification, or if breakage exceeds normal transit allowance (we account for up to 1–2% breakage as standard in packing calculations), notify us within 7 days of container opening with photos and the packing list reference. We will discuss replacement, credit toward your next order, or a partial refund depending on the nature of the issue. We recommend cargo insurance (see below) to cover transit damage beyond our packing guarantee.
Do you provide cargo insurance for shipments?
We can arrange marine cargo insurance on your behalf (typically 0.3–0.5% of invoice value, added to your CIF quote) or you can arrange insurance through your own freight forwarder if purchasing on FOB terms. We strongly recommend insurance for all sea freight shipments, particularly for polished slabs and finished monuments.
How is stone packed for export to prevent breakage?
Slabs are packed in wooden cradles with foam/bubble wrap between each slab, loaded in wooden crates suitable for sea freight. Tiles are packed in foam-lined wooden boxes or cartons depending on size and thickness. Packing is designed to withstand port handling, container loading, and rough sea transit.
Can I visit your quarry and processing plant before placing an order?
Absolutely. We welcome factory visits from serious buyers. Our processing plant and quarry operations are worldwide. We can assist with travel arrangement, accommodation, and a guided facility inspection. Inform us at least 2 weeks in advance to schedule your visit.
