Cats Eye Granite Blocks

Cat’s Eye Granite takes its name from a measurable optical phenomenon rather than a stylistic description — the feldspar crystals aligned within its reddish-brown matrix produce a genuine chatoyant effect, the same light-banding behaviour found in gemstones, which animates the surface differently depending on the angle of illumination. Quarried in block form from Karnataka, the stone’s coarse phaneritic structure processes well across all major finish types, with each finish — polished, flamed, or leathered — activating a different aspect of its mineral character. Its inherent density also delivers strong resistance to impact, moisture penetration, and thermal stress.
